CONSTRUCTION DETAIL:
The heavy duty Rams cutting table will have an effective 5’x10’ cutting area.
The table is constructed of an all steel welded 3x3 tube frame with 10 ga. sides and bottom. The table also has three 3x3 steel tube cross supports coupled with four linear 3x3 steel angle slat supports. These hold the heavy duty slats made of 1/16“ mild steel.
This table will easily support in excess of 1” mild steel plate.
This is an extremely ridged welded machine weighing in excess of 2000 lbs and delivered to your shop in one piece so there is no assembly required.
• The table is a downdraft design and requires a 5000 +- cfm exhaust for a 5’x10’ table. The industrial plasma torch blows the dross and smoke downward during the cutting process because of the pressure of the compressed shop air used as a shielding gas. Our control tells your exhaust fan to turn on at the commencement of the cut and continues to run the fan for about 30 seconds after the cut. This enables you to keep a clean, smoke free work environment and minimizes loss of heat in colder climates.
• The ends of table have doors that hinge downward to allow you to easily clean out the waste. With other systems, you have to remove all the slats to clean out the heavy waste. The table has dual Browning ¾” rack and pinion drives along with the finest dual hardened and ground HIWIN #20 linear guide ways on both sides of the table, and with dual heavy duty NEMA 34 motors the gantry is automatically squared when you seek the home position, a feature only found on the best machines available. This ensures the same size part being cut anywhere on the table unlike cantilevered systems that are only driven on one side and generate excessive movement away from the driven side.
• The high torque motors are connected direct gear drive to eliminate position error found on machines with belt drive or belts to run a drive shaft in the gantry.
• The gantry is made from a solid 4x6 thick wall aluminum tube, no bolt together slotted assembly set here. The gantry is strong, ridged and being made of aluminum, reduces moving weight and enhances position repeatability. The gantry also has ¾”rack and pinion drive and dual hardened and ground HIWIN #15 linear guide ways.
• The motors and gears have near zero lash for a positioning repeated at .0005.
The gantry can move in excess of 1,000 inches per minute.

• Every machine has a precision, sealed drop head torch holder & roller assembly coupled with a magnetic breakaway to protect valuable components in case of a part tip up.
The machines are all built right here in the USA.

PC MACHINE CONTROL :
The cutting systems are equipped with and controlled by a standard PC or Laptop.
There is no need for a dedicated, expensive controller that will become obsolete and can only be serviced by the company that builds it. A new and up to date Window’s tm PC or Laptop is furnished with each machine. The laptop is set on a movable pedestal at the park end of the table along with the label printer. An optional computer console is available at a reasonable cost if you want to use a PC as the controller.
The machine control is designed and built here in the USA. All of the components used are readily available over the counter to make the control as non proprietary as possible.
There are over three thousand copies of the operating software working in industry.

We load the control with the software to do your job easily. The software is very intuitive and conversational in nature so as to be easy to use for both the beginner and the seasoned professional alike.
We furnish Shop Data HVAC software for ductwork applications and include a complete nesting program.
Shop Data has been a premier program for many years and includes all SMACNA standard fittings with over 2000 variations.
• The HVAC software features take the manual effort out of job takeoff, tooling, nesting and downloading. It includes the "extras" that you would find only on a system developed by sheet metal experts. A complete rectangle, round, and flat oval fitting library and common 2D fabrication shapes gives you everything you need to design, input, nest and cut your own fittings and parts jobs.
By using powerful Window's features HVAC fittings makes it easy to select your fittings, input the dimensions, quantity and material type, and then see the actual 3D preview of the fitting and the 2D flat layout of the parts. One click of the auto-nest button nests the parts to optimize material usage and then to view the nested plates as they will be cut.

SOFTWARE CONTINUED:
You can even modify the finished patterns for special applications by using Industrial Fittings powerful "Workbench" drawing tool. You can place holes, chop pieces, scale or stretch them, and even merge the two patterns together.
• The HVAC Fittings library includes rectangle, round and flat oval fitting shapes including cones, offsets, elbows, wyes, branch fittings and square to rounds.
Capabilities such as mitering, reducing, concentric/eccentric dimensioning are available as well as selectable seam placement, selectable hole sizing, dual wall, tie rod holes and inside/outside diameter material compensation.
We use Shop Data for Window's visual drawing tools to design simple or complex parts.
DXF files can be imported individually or in batches' automatically tooled, ready to nest and cut as parts!
With this software you can drag & drop, copy, move, rotate parts or move lead ins and lead outs anywhere along the tool path or on the nested sheet.
You can write your own macros to make custom parts for your library.
There are over 66 commonly used shapes in your shape library. These include lift lugs, belt guards, flanges, gussets fan housings and augers are programmed ready to use.
Advanced shape nesting of HVAC fittings automatically nests parts side by side and rotates them to match interlocking angles and contours to optimize the metal sheet.
Nesting features include nesting in holes, chain cutting, common line cutting move & bump manual nesting, mouse controlled part rotation, notching for full joint usage.
We support all standard pressure classes, or define your own classes and pressure tables.
With your user definable shop standards, you can define seams, connectors, vanes, materials etc.
You can customize your labels and material data, production data, shipping inventory management and purchasing to assist in job costing.

We use high quality plasma units manufactured by Thermal Dynamics. They are an internationally known company and manufacture plasmas here in the USA from entry level power units to the highest power available in the industry and the best Ultra cut precision plasma available anywhere.

The above HVAC system is quoted with the Thermal Dynamics Cut Master Series A 40 torch rated at 1/4” mild steel production.

The amperage range is 20 - 40 with a 47 amp draw @ 208 single phase.
This is a single phase torch with a standard plug to fit any shop with at least 220 volts.

This is a turnkey system including the plasma table, plasma cutter, computer, software, training and internet/telephone support to the original owner for the life of the machine.
