EDMswiss was initially active in the Clientele Service.
From 2004, EDMswiss is located in a small wooden house of 180m2 and buys its first machine.
The office was then in the bedroom of one of the partners.
In the year 2007, the company got bigger as well as the number of machines and employees, it’s the take-off.
2008-2010, despite the economic crisis, an intelligent internal politicy allows to cross this period without incident.
In May 2010, EDMswiss moves in only 300m away from Agie Charmilles and doubles its surface to 400m2.
2012-2013, the company goes from 5 employees to a dozen and restructures completely.
At the beginning of 2014, a new building is seeing the day, offering a surface superior to 1000m2.
Constantly keeping a self-financing logic, we continued during these last 10 years to develop and have now the world’s biggest stock of used Charmilles machine for sale (around 60 machines at the end of 2013).
The team :
The EDMswiss team consists of a dozen people who worked, for the greater part, more than 15 to 25 years at AgieCharmilles and know most of the models in service since 1980.
We are composed of 2 departments :
- A technical department subdivided into 2 groups (workshop and clientele).
The workshop group concentrates on machines refurbishment and the second visits clientele to assist our customers during breakdowns, putting the machines into service, maintenance, training, etc…
- An administrative and sales departement also constitued of a customer support with a hotline and technicians to assist you in case of emergency.
EDMswiss, it is also a worldwide partners network which can help you locally and in your language.
Our activities :
Workshop and refurbishment
The refurbishment of our machines scrupulously follows a quality protocol according to the following stages :
- A thorough and effective clean-up of the machine
- A substitution of all damaged and out-of-service elements
- A scrupulous maintenance as well as the replacement of consumables by original AgieCharmilles ones.
- Corrections, updates and adjustments of 5 points :
ERODE, POSITION, DIELECTRIC, CONTROL, CHANGER, WIRE
- The substitution of the diskette reader by an USB one
- Manufacturing (speed, pressures, injections, rethreading,…), geometry and positioning tests
- A final control
Preparation and transport :
Machines are conscientiously prepared for the transport and we have a partner specialized in conditioning to complete our range of services.
We shall be there to assist the load and binding on your truck.
Transport and customs :
On request, we can take care of the transport.We are working with well known transport groups and our forwarder is at your disposal to facilitate the customes procedures. Machines are sold to the export without VAT.
Set-up and training :
Depending on the machines installed at the customer’s, we propose a whole pallet of training.
Note that our training are paid off by french training institutions.
