The Karl G. Wirths company was
founded in 1956 as a machine shop.
In 1961, the company developed into
a manufacturer of tools for cutting and stamping
sheet metal. Up to 30 employees worked in the tool
manufacturing department, which was sold in 1972 in an
effort to improve productivity. Also in 1956, Karl G. Wirths
began to recondition equipment, and in 1960/1961,
the company started selling second-hand machine tools,
sheet metal working machines and plastics processing machines.
Construction of our warehouses and office building began
in 1970/1972 and was completed in five phases.
Today, there are five warehouses with a combined storage
area of about 86,000 ft2, furnished with cranes of up to 50 tonnes.
At present Wirths Ltd., founded in 1980, still
buys and sells second-hand machine tools, sheet metal working machines
and plastics processing machines.
Up to 350 machines are stocked in
our warehouses at all times. Our comprehensive customer
service is based on many years of experience
in our field. We have many satisfied
repeat customers, both at home
and abroad.
